Welcome to SplitterUp. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. Use of Service

SplitterUp provides expense splitting and management services, including the ability to link bank accounts and import transactions as expenses (premium feature). You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Bank Account Linking

SplitterUp offers an optional bank import feature that allows you to link bank accounts through Teller, a third-party bank data aggregation service. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You authorize SplitterUp to access your bank account and transaction data through Teller for the purpose of importing transactions as expenses
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority to link the bank accounts you connect
  • Transaction data is provided by your financial institution and may not be available in real time; there may be delays or discrepancies
  • SplitterUp is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data provided by your financial institution or Teller
  • You may disconnect a linked bank account at any time, which immediately revokes access and deletes all stored bank data
  • Bank import is a premium feature requiring an active subscription

5. Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy: we do not collect, sell, or share your personal data with third parties.

Your use of SplitterUp is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand our practices regarding data security and your rights.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not use SplitterUp to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit any harmful or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service

7. Limitation of Liability

SplitterUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service. Without limiting the foregoing, we make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of financial data obtained through linked bank accounts, and we shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from reliance on such data.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
